Cybersecurity Club

Meet up with like-minded students to learn and enhance your technology and cybersecurity related skills and of course, have some fun!  No prior experience required.  Participate in competitions, hands-on workshops, career mentoring sessions, hear guest speakers, and much more.

The National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition is one of the most well-known cybersecurity competitions in the industry.  Each year, a team of our cybersecurity students train to build, secure, and protect their virtual environments against live cyber attacks.

The Women in Cybersecurity Student Chapter aims to help bridge the gender gap that exists in the cybersecurity industry.  With only 11% of woman in cybersecurity and an estimated shortage of 2 million cybersecurity professionals in 2019, it's a great time to dive into this fast growing profession!

National Cyber League

The NCL is a beginners-friendly, puzzle-based cybersecurity competition open to individuals and groups.  Test your skills in password cracking, wireless security, and traffic analysis.

Angel-Techs

Through donations and grants, the Center for Cybersecurity loans laptops to students in need to complete their coursework.  Angel-Tech recipients are paired up with a cybers student to assist with computer and software training, learn maintenance, and help them be successful inside and outside of the classroom.

Cyber Internship

Learn hands skills in hardware, networking, systems and server administration, security, and general IT.  Volunteers welcome too!  See John Watkins or a technical assistant to learn more about this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity.

Intercollegiate Forensics Competition

Once you have completed our capstone forensics class, you will be ready to compete in our annual intercollegiate forensics competition.  Test your newly learned skills in network and digital forensics and face off against other area colleges and universities.

Conferences

Conferences are a great way to learn about and stay current in IT and cybersecurity.  Each year our curriculum and clubs sponsor trips  to some of the biggest and best conferences in the country.  Visit our awareness page to see the conferences our students and staff participate in.

PTECH Cyber Camp

The Center for Cybersecurity has partnered with the P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) Program to host a one week summer camp for local high school students.  Our cyber counselors share their skills and passion in cybersecurity, computer hardware, forensics, networking, and even drone flying.  Become a cyber counselor today!

Tech 4 Tips

Computer running slow?  Need software installed?  Have a virus?  Each semester the Cybersecurity Club holds their Tech 4 Tips event to help students with troubleshooting, maintenance, and computer security.  This event is open to all students for a small donation that supports the club and their continued efforts to spread cybersecurity awareness.
