POSITION SUMMARY​

Help Desk Support Technicians will provide technical support to incoming students under the Welcome Center of Westchester Community College.

RESPONSIBILITIES​

Provide Tier 1 technical support to students via telephone, email, and Zoom.

Monitor, review, and manage tickets in SysAid system.
-
Help users identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to college required applications such as Microsoft Office 365 applications, Outlook, Teams, and Blackboard.

Guide in installing and configuring applications offered by the college.

CIS/Cybersecurity Tutor
POSITION SUMMARY​

Tutors provide one-on-one assistance with hands-on-labs and assignments to students taking CIS and Cybersecurity courses.

Tutor individual students via Zoom in Computer Information Systems courses and associated software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visual Studio.

Junior Technical Assistant - Tier 1 Intern
POSITION SUMMARY​
-
This job function is to troubleshoot basic I.T. support issues/tickets in the lab environment as well as aid in T1 internship projects directed by T2 support interns and technical assistants.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair computers using re-certification steps.

Test hard drives, routers, and network cables, among other devices.

Junior Technical Assistant - Tier 2 Intern
POSITION SUMMARY​

This job function is to supervise and assist T1 support interns in their projects and troubleshoot elevated tickets by T1 interns. These interns will assist with the more technically complex projects carried out by technical assistants.

Work with other students to create apps and programs such as freeware and tools for troubleshooting and scanning.

Construction Crew Technicians will be assisting in building and beta testing technical simulations at the White Plains Center.

GENCYBER INTERN
POSITION SUMMARY​
-
GENCYBER Interns will collaborate to create activities and challenges for local high school students attending 2-week educational event.
RESPONSIBILITIES​​

Leading and supporting students as they participate in activities.

Work with other interns to plan, develop and coordinate tech-related activities using cybersecurity topics such as cryptography and forensics.

Utilize department owned equipment for activities such as Drones and Raspberry Pis.
